Past, present and future of Internet and How Google is changing the way we live

I came across one of the most engaging Youtube videos yesterday and thought that I should share it with my readers. This is a 8 minute journey through how things have changed since 1996 and takes us all the way through to 2014. The video gives us a glimpse of how Internet is changing the way we live with couple of examples. However, if you think about all the other areas of life that are goi
ng to be positively affected due to advancements in technology, your excitement will know no bound. I say we are lucky to live in this day and age. I have earlier very briefly covered 5 things that will change in next 5 years, But if you look at 8-10 years from now, there will be no area in our life that will not be affected.
The Video presented above mostly talks about Google and its innovation and future path.

Google, in as short span of 4-5 years has grabbed the Search Engine market share by more than double of all the competitors put together including Yahoo and MSN. In a Google is further extending its lead over the rivals:
Sixty-seven percent of queries worldwide went through Google in April, up from 66.3 percent the previous month. Yahoo slipped to 18.8 percent from 19.2 percent. Microsoft’s MSN and assorted others remained at 7.7 percent.
ComScore also released its Video Metrix rankings for March 2007 on June 4, showing Google sites as the top U.S. streaming video properties with 57.4 million unique people streaming and 1.2 billion video streams initiated. YouTube, Google’s recently acquired video site, drove most of the streaming activity with 53.5 million unique streamers and 1.1 billion streams initiated. Google sites account for 16.7 percent of all streams online.
I finish this post with a classic Web2.0 video, which I am sure most of you may have seen by now, but just incase if someone has not seen it, here it is.
